Meet Dr. Brandee Fernandez CPIM. C.P.M.: A Supply Chain Story of Building a Career with Purpose

Join ASCM Houston Women in Supply Chain, WISC, for the next installment of Supply Chain Stories, featuring Dr. Brandee J. Fernandez, CPIM, C.P.M., Director of Sourcing Sustainability at Baker Hughes.

Brandee brings more than 25 years of supply chain experience across multiple industries, including aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Throughout her career, she has built experience across inventory management, procurement, supplier quality, strategic sourcing, contract and performance management, supplier relationships, risk management, and leadership.

Today, Brandee combines that broad supply chain experience with one of her professional passions, building more transparent, resilient, and sustainable supply chains. Her work in sourcing sustainability includes supplier engagement, emissions transparency, multi-tier supply chain visibility, and strategies designed to strengthen supplier resilience.

Her commitment to learning has continued throughout her career. In addition to earning her CPIM and C.P.M. certifications and an MBA, Brandee recently earned her Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Houston, where her research focused on supplier emissions engagement and transparency.

Brandee is also passionate about mentoring others, sharing what she has learned, and helping professionals turn their goals into action. Many in the ASCM Houston community will recognize Brandee from her involvement with the chapter and as a featured speaker at our 2026 Top Management Night.

In this 30 minute conversation, Brandee will share her career journey, the experiences and decisions that shaped her along the way, her passion for sourcing sustainability, the role continuous learning has played in her growth, and lessons she has learned about leadership, mentorship, and building a career with purpose.
